Corporate Advisory Services.

Abri’s principles have led or participated in several corporate turnarounds and restructurings involving a variety of issues. Abri can work on a discretionary or non-discretionary basis, and given Abri’s small size, we assure 100% transparency and confidentiality of all transactions.

When working on behalf of companies, Abri serves as an appointed advisor to lead or assist with the problem resolution. When working on behalf of institutional investors, Abri can either serve as a direct advisor to the company on the investor’s behalf, or conversely, step into the investor’s shoes by removing the investment position off the investor’s balance sheet and then: i) repairing the position for eventual return, ii) managing the position post-resolution on the investors behalf, or iii) liquidating the position and returning capital.


Turnaround.

We can lead every step of the process either directly, or alongside principal stakeholders or management. We employ an Abri-developed method called “SRGE”, which stands for Stabilise, Rehabilitate, Grow, Exit:

  • Stabilise the business, ensure proper emergency liquidity is in place, 

  • Rehabilitate the balance sheet, management, and operations, 

  • Grow the business from the newly reorganized and refocused entity, and 

  • Exit the investment. 


Problem Resolution.

In a troubled situation which requires restructuring or reorganizing, we can lead or guide the company through a number of complex corporate issues such as:

  • Reducing balance sheet stress by exchanging or refinancing high interest rate debt for lower rate debt or equity, or some combination thereof, 

  • Repairing strained financial relationships by rationalising liquidity and reducing cash burn rates, 

  • Leading an acquisition, merger, or other strategic combination, 

  • Spinning-off, selling or divesting non-strategic assets including divisions or subsidiaries, 

  • Litigation strategy and management, 

  • Negotiating new business contracts and opening new markets,  

  • Reorganizing operational structure and procedures,  

  • Rebranding and product portfolio optimization, and 

  • Private or public money raise of debt or equity.
